Requirements

  • Able to work flexible, rotating production shifts 8/10/12 hours (2nd shift: 4pm-2am Mon-Fri with Saturdays as required)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience preferred
  • Comfortable with working in a dusty environment
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
  • Ability to follow direction and specific instructions
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
  • Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety policies, programs, and procedures
  • Complete health & safety pre-start checklists
  • Ensure that products being produced meet established quality specifications
  • Document quality checks at regular intervals
  • Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating procedures
  • Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift
  • Document production numbers, items contributing to downtime (using computerized systems and hand-written production reports)
  • General housekeeping duties
  • Additional duties as assigned by Supervisory staff
  • Run the production line, including operating machinery, ensuring raw materials are fed properly, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, verifying finished products against quality specifications, and ensuring products are properly prepared for shipment
