Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Comcast products (video, high-speed internet, voice, XFINITY Home) and competitive landscape (features, benefits, differences, pricing, campaigns)
  • Expert knowledge of selling with relevant experience reflective of the position
  • Thorough understanding of residential canvassing sales environment, emphasizing business-to-consumer sales
  • Effective communication, organizational, and people skills, plus strong customer service skills
  • Strong technical capability (computer knowledge, billing systems, databases)
  • Competent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to walk and/or travel door-to-door for considerable distances in all weather conditions (physical requirements)
  • Where applicable, ability to obtain and maintain credentials/licenses necessary to sell/design alarm systems as required by law
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime
  • Confidence in selling ability and ability to operate independently

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Comcast products and services (video, high-speed internet, voice, XFINITY Home) by knocking on every door in assigned territory
  • Communicate effectively and develop rapport with customers; evaluate needs and make recommendations
  • Increase customer understanding of Comcast products, pricing, and competitive advantages; evaluate and respond to competitive offers
  • Create and execute turf management plans without assistance; utilize experience-based sales techniques
  • Independently establish and organize daily sales activities; generate business through approved lead generation methods
  • Implement effective sales closing techniques to meet/exceed sales goals and product installation targets
  • Understand and apply Operating Principles; own the customer experience; be enthusiastic about products/services; win as a team
  • Perform other duties as assigned
