Responsibilities

  • Team building and development: Set vision, lead church and community engagement team collaboratively toward goals, ensure role clarity, and foster collaboration with external and program teams
  • Relationship cultivation and stewardship: Grow and maintain church relationship portfolio supporting engagement strategy; coordinate effective engagement with churches and leaders, focusing on fundraising and volunteer recruitment
  • Strategy development: Lead team to create and implement annual strategic fundraising and partnership development plans integrated with region-wide strategy, including long-term goals and short-term projects with timelines, responsibilities, and accountabilities
  • Staff coaching and management: Provide coaching and supervision to church and community engagement staff, invest in individual and team performance development, ensure hiring, onboarding, and support for needed roles
  • National engagement: Connect locally based staff and activities with national counterparts, including regional fundraising support staff
  • Assess results and drive growth: Establish metrics for success in church, volunteer, and community activities; use results and stakeholder feedback to adapt strategy and improve initiatives
  • Marketing and communications: Supervise marketing and communications staff, providing direction on fundraising campaigns
