Position Overview

  • Brief Description: Join Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Corporate IT remote team as a Workday HCM Architect to craft HR solutions, focusing on Workday’s innovations in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & productivity focus areas.

Requirements

  • Education: B.S or M.S. in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or other engineering field required with equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    • 6+ years of experience in the development/configuration and implementation of tier 1 Human Resources software or information technology systems.
    • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Enterprise Architect.
    • Demonstrable experience in enterprise software application development, integrations, and architecture.
    • Hands-on experience with the development, implementation, and integration of Workday HCM.
    • Experience in implementing upgrades of cloud-based solutions.
    • Experience in providing consultation, crafting and deploying of both HR AI and talent strategies and solutions.
  • Skills:
    • Sound knowledge of business processes, system to system integrations, information/platform security.
    • Ability to manage competing demands and thrive in a dynamic environment.
    • Upbeat and self-motivated professional with good interpersonal, planning, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
    • Self-starter with a passion for learning new skills and an interest in AI.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Intelligence: Optimize Workday’s skills-based talent management solutions, including Skills Cloud, Talent Marketplace, and Career Hub, to drive strategic workforce planning initiatives, multifaceted career pathing and facilitate internal talent movement.
  • AI powered Talent Management: Leverage Workday’s AI capabilities to improve recruiting, hiring, career pathing and succession planning.
  • Workday Illuminate: Implement solutions that harness Generative AI capabilities like Workday Everywhere, Agentic AI and Succession Agent. Be a critical part in helping develop our generative AI and machine learning strategies that center around Workday.
  • Research & Innovation: Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements within Workday, finding opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Partnership & Delivery: Partner with business partners, internal IT staff and external consultants to ensure effective definition and delivery of HR Technology solutions.
