Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing motivational interviewing techniques to support behavior change, health coaching, fitness instruction, nutrition counseling, or related roles
  • Health Coach certification, or a related credential (NBHWC, ACSM, AFPA, Wellcoaches)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneNote
  • Valid and current driver’s license
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Willingness to work onsite at the customer’s worksite five days a week, with occasional availability outside of standard business hours
  • Bachelor's degree in health related field (Health Promotion, Nutrition, Dietetics, Psychology, Fitness)

Responsibilities

  • Designs, facilitates & evaluates effectiveness of wellness programs that educate & influence employees at the worksite to lead healthy lifestyles
  • Establishes rapport with plan sponsors, engages leaders in data driven decision making regarding support for their employees
  • Supports wellness champion network including different levels of employer leadership and employees from worksite
  • Identifies & coordinates appropriate combination of wellness activities & recommendations on delivery & coordination of wellness programs, community & vendor programs, & monitors effectiveness of the program
  • Manages wellness allowance expenses towards eligible wellness expenses & ensures maximum benefit to the client while remaining within budget
  • Evaluates & presents health assessment data, organizational assessments, claim utilization data, employee survey data, biometric screenings or other data as appropriate
  • Utilizes preventive guidelines & general health & wellness strategies to achieve goals in the overall health of customers
  • Develops communication pieces including newsletters & flyers to promote aspects of well-being strategy
  • Performs research on relevant topics in health promotion and disease prevention, as required for specific customers
  • Educates & refers customers on available health resources & Aetna Care Management programs & community resources as appropriate
  • Serves as subject matter expert on wellness & health improvement opportunities available within Aetna & the community. Provides support & training for sales partners as needed
