Requirements

  • 8+ years of sales experience wholesaling mutual funds, SMAs, and Alternative products in territory
  • Established successful track-record of consultative selling of Open-End Funds, SMAs, private and public alternative investments
  • Proven ability to grow a territory as measured by sales and persistency of business over multiple years
  • Experience selling to RIAs in geographic market is required (preferred deep experience selling to RIAs, Wirehouse, and Independent Broker Dealers)
  • Established track record of success and strong, developed client relationships in the Northern California market
  • Strong organizational and technical skills, ability to quickly grasp new concepts
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Collaborative team-player with strong ability to work independently and communicate clearly and concisely
  • Highest professional standards

Responsibilities

  • Strategically plan and manage resources to maximize territory sales using industry and firm data, prioritizing advisors
  • Develop and manage a strong and active pipeline and record all meeting activity in a timely manner within CRM
  • Responsible for budgeting expenses efficiently
  • Work in conjunction with a Regional Coordinator (internal wholesaler) to drive sales through geographically distinct or select segmented firms, identifying and fostering leads from segmentation, referrals, ad campaigns, and territory canvassing
  • Partner with other lines of business within Voya (e.g., DCIO, Workplace Solutions, NQDC) to drive synergies and enhance firm enterprise value
  • Achieve territory sales, positive net cash flow, build new relationships, and manage existing relationships with advisors in Northern California market
  • Drive sales through segmentation of advisors, consultative sales approach, meetings, conferences, and training workshops
  • Minimum of 20-25 appointments per week in the field conducting one-on-one meetings, presentations, and attending conferences (virtual meetings permitted when requested)
  • Travel required, including overnight stays where applicable
