Requirements

  • Experience leading market strategy development and implementation to achieve business targets, including growing existing business, identifying new opportunities, and launching products/services
  • Proven ability to develop, cultivate, and maintain close relationships with client CEOs, management teams, decision-makers, influencers in client banks, national banking associations, government stakeholders, key merchants, and ecosystem players
  • Knowledge of payments industry, banking/financial services, and technology innovation, with ability to communicate stakeholder views on current state and prospects
  • Expertise in leading and managing product portfolios for key accounts and prioritizing efforts across long-tail clients, ensuring excellent local and regional support
  • Ability to serve as a thought leader and industry advocate, sharing Visa’s views on developments and articulating product/solution benefits for client/merchant results
  • Understanding of Visa’s competitive differentiators in business strategies, capabilities, product positioning, pricing, and client performance drivers
  • Experience engaging regulators/government entities (in collaboration with dedicated teams) to promote economic growth, innovation, financial inclusion, and manage regulatory changes
  • Skills in driving collaboration with the Fintech ecosystem leveraging Visa’s products/services
  • Appreciation of market performance impact on regional (AuNZPI and Asia Pacific) strategies and Visa’s goals
  • Ability to ensure functional initiatives are integrated, aligned with broader business plans, and prioritized across functions
  • Capability to lead local initiatives, secure necessary resources for scorecard targets, and provide inspirational leadership for team efficiency and engagement amid conflicting demands

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of market strategy to achieve business targets through business growth, new opportunities, and new products/services
  • Develop, cultivate, and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, government, merchants, and ecosystem players; communicate industry views
  • Lead and manage product portfolio for key accounts and prioritize efforts for long-tail clients, ensuring excellent support
  • Act as industry advocate and thought leader, sharing Visa’s perspectives and promoting products/solutions
  • Articulate Visa’s competitive advantages to clients
  • Engage regulators/government with Visa teams to drive growth, innovation, inclusion, and manage regulatory changes
  • Drive collaboration with Fintech ecosystem
  • Align market performance with AuNZPI cluster and Asia Pacific strategies
  • Ensure integration and alignment of market functions with broader Visa plans; prioritize work across functions
  • Lead local initiatives in AuNZPI community and secure resources for targets
  • Provide inspirational leadership to the team, managing conflicting demands for maximum efficiency and engagement
  • Report to Group Country Manager for AuNZPI and serve as member of AuNZPI Leadership Team
