Candidates must possess a strong portfolio showcasing mobile product visuals and storytelling across various user experiences on iOS and Android. Proven experience in creating or contributing to visual playbooks, design systems, or component libraries is required. The role demands the ability to translate brand guidelines into scalable product visuals, balancing clarity and creativity, with experience in localization, accessibility, and cross-platform adaptation. Familiarity with motion principles, basic video direction, and collaboration with production teams is necessary. Proficiency in Figma (auto-layout, variants, structured libraries), Adobe Creative Suite, and asset management tools is essential, with familiarity in Lottie and AI design tools being a plus. Excellent organizational skills for Figma hygiene, asset libraries, and spec handoff, along with the ability to deliver on time are crucial. Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration and coordinating freelancers with clear briefs are also required.
The Visual Designer will create, maintain, and evolve the Visual Playbook aligned with product strategy and brand narrative. They will own the visual storytelling layer across product experiences, defining motion intent, type hierarchy, imagery, and overall look & feel. Responsibilities include adapting visuals for different markets with cultural sensitivity and accessibility, proposing and testing visual hypotheses to improve conversion and retention, and codifying winning patterns into reusable standards. The role involves extending and maintaining the product design system, preparing export-ready assets, and collaborating with motion designers to define interactions and animations. The Visual Designer will partner with Product, Growth, Content, and Design leads, write briefs for freelancers, and review deliverables to ensure compliance. They will also utilize approved AI tools for exploration and production, ensuring outputs meet brand standards.
