Position Overview

Govini is seeking a visionary Vice President of AI to lead our comprehensive AI Strategy. This role involves managing our AI/ML and Data Science teams, fostering collaboration across departments, and balancing strategic planning with hands-on problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data science fundamentals and product development, with a proven track record of scaling AI/DS organizations and delivering enterprise-grade solutions. You will define the future of data science and AI products at Govini, establishing innovative frameworks and owning the development and execution of Govini’s AI Roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of teams responsible for AI product development and data science solutions at Govini.
• Design and own Govini’s AI Product Roadmap, including proprietary data enrichment, predictive indicator development, Generative AI solutions, strategic partnerships, and performance monitoring.
• Drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge data science methods for enriching Govini’s data, solving unique customer problems, and delivering scalable AI infrastructure.
• Ensure the continued development, improvement, and implementation of robust systems for quality, provenance, explainability, and lineage tracking throughout AI Products.
• Manage and scale high-performing teams of data scientists and machine learning engineers.
• Establish responsible AI development best practices across the organization.
• Build a team culture of experimentation and continuous learning while ensuring delivery and operational excellence.
• Collaborate strategically with Product, Sales, Engineering, and Executive leadership to deliver high-quality, decision-grade solutions and methods to National Security customers.
• Engage directly with key customers and stakeholders to understand their strategic challenges and translate them into actionable data science initiatives.
• Establish AI governance frameworks, best practices, and quality standards across the organization.
• Partner with external client teams to understand their business problems and opportunities for expansion of Govini’s proprietary AI solutions.
• Become an expert in the National Security domain and represent Govini AI capabilities at the highest level.
• Recruit, hire, and retain top-tier talent across all data science disciplines.
• Develop career progression frameworks and succession plans.
