Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in user research, UX research, or customer insights, preferably in technology / AI products
  • Strong expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methods, including survey design, data analysis, and experiment design
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in English with the ability to conduct research and present findings in both languages
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with tools such as UserTesting, Miro, Figma, or AI-driven research platforms
  • Proven track record in startup or high-growth environments, comfortable with ambiguity and rapid pivots
  • Exceptional communication skills — able to influence stakeholders at all levels

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end research projects (generative, evaluative, usability, competitive benchmarking) across the product lifecycle
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to integrate research insights into product roadmaps and AI-driven features
  • Translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Build scalable research frameworks to support fast iteration cycles in a startup environment
  • Apply both qualitative and quantitative methods (interviews, surveys, analytics, diary studies, A/B testing)
  • Ensure products are localized and culturally relevant, with a focus on global and Chinese-speaking markets
  • Mentor junior researchers and help establish a research operations playbook for consistency and efficiency
