Requirements

  • Skills in consulting/educating Members/Customers on eyewear, selecting products, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidentiality, performing minor frame repairs, and maintaining optical equipment
  • Supervisory and development skills including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset
  • Ability to uphold Open Door Policy, coordinate job-related activities, develop stakeholder relationships, set goals, measure progress, and promote continuous learning

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, proper signing, instock/inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends/community needs
  • Model, enforce, and provide direction/guidance to Associates on Customer/Member service to resolve issues within company standards
  • Oversee implementation of and participate in community outreach programs; encourage Associates to serve as good community members
  • Ensure compliance with company/legal policies by analyzing reports, implementing/monitoring controls, overseeing reviews, developing action plans, directing Associates on programs/initiatives, and ensuring confidentiality
  • Provide supervision/development for Associates: hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognition, promoting belonging mindset
  • Ensure quality eyewear provision: consult/educate Members/Customers, select products, obtain measurements, verify prescriptions, maintain confidentiality, perform minor repairs, maintain equipment
  • Uphold Open Door Policy: meet with Associates, listen to concerns, research issues, review policies, suggest resolutions
  • Coordinate/complete/oversee job-related activities: develop stakeholder relationships, support plans/initiatives, identify/communicate goals, build accountability, measure progress, address improvements, demonstrate adaptability, promote learning
