Requirements

  • Uphold the Company's Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies and procedures, and providing resolutions
  • Initiate, direct, and participate in community outreach programs, establish relationships with key community individuals or groups, represent the Company externally, follow media guidelines, and champion company-sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts
  • Drive financial performance by achieving sales and profit goals, controlling expenses indexed to sales, developing plans to correct financial deficiencies, overseeing budgets, and analyzing economic trends and community needs for forecasting
  • Model, enforce, and provide direction on proper Customer service approaches and techniques to resolve needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines
  • Direct the management team in facility operations, communicate with management and hourly associates about operations, merchandising, and company direction
  • Drive sales through effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, in-stock and inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs
  • Ensure success of the Academy training environment and store standards by meeting Academy Store requirements and SOPs, creating an engaging environment, integrating Academy associates, advising on training curriculum, engaging trainees, maintaining high customer service, acting as operations champion, and participating in talent and succession planning
  • Drive execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying needs, developing and communicating plans and priorities, removing barriers, providing resources, setting performance standards, measuring progress, adjusting performance, developing contingency plans, and supporting continuous learning
  • Provide supervision and development for associates by selecting, training, mentoring, assigning duties, building team-based environment, setting performance expectations, conducting evaluations, providing recognition and rewards, coaching, and promoting a belonging mindset
  • Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, and values
