Responsibilities

  • Direct and guide management and hourly associates on customer service approaches by modeling excellent service, conducting tours, and resolving issues
  • Drive financial performance by ensuring budgeted sales, wages, and expenses are met; assist store manager in expense control; create improvement plans and budgets; analyze trends for forecasting
  • Participate in community outreach, build relationships with key community individuals/groups, represent the company, follow media guidelines, and promote company programs and events
  • Direct facility operations by setting service standards, teaching merchandise presentation, maintaining inventory and pricing, requesting merchandise, ensuring quality/safety, and overseeing reviews
  • Provide supervision and development for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing performance, delegating objectives, and developing staffing
  • Execute multiple business plans/projects by identifying needs, communicating priorities, removing barriers, providing resources, measuring progress, and supporting learning/adaptability
  • Build high-performing teams, embrace differences, foster a culture of belonging, create opportunities for associates to thrive, and promote a team-based work environment
  • Train and direct others on company policies/procedures, ensure compliance, and utilize the Open Door Policy
  • Evaluate ongoing effectiveness of plans/programs, consult stakeholders, apply suggestions for efficiency, and support community outreach events
