Responsibilities

  • Direct and guide management and hourly associates on customer service approaches and techniques
  • Ensure financial performance by confirming budgeted sales, wages, and expenses; assist store manager in expense control; create/implement financial improvement plans
  • Participate in community outreach, support associates in community service, maintain key relationships, represent company, and promote company programs/events
  • Direct facility operations: set service standards, develop merchandise presentation, maintain inventory/pricing/signage, request merchandise, oversee quality/safety reviews
  • Provide supervision and development for management and associates: hire, train, mentor, assign duties, recognize performance, delegate objectives
  • Drive execution of business plans/projects: identify needs, communicate priorities, remove obstacles, provide resources, measure/adjust performance
  • Supervise associates: select/train/mentor, build team environment, set/evaluate performance, provide recognition/coaching, promote belonging
  • Promote/support company policies, procedures, ethics; train others; ensure compliance; utilize Open Door Policy
  • Evaluate ongoing effectiveness of plans/initiatives, consult stakeholders, apply suggestions for efficiency, support community outreach events
