Requirements
- Ability to monitor Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), Clean In Place (CIP) systems, and Pest Control programs
- Capability to assist with internal audits, pathogen swabbing, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., CHS, Good Manufacturing Practices, FSMA, Safe Quality Food Code)
- Ability to conduct validation testing and product evaluations
- Adherence to safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment and reporting hazards
- Compliance with company policies, procedures, ethical standards, and Open Door Policy
- Team collaboration skills, including working with managers, co-workers, FSQA team, and Chemical Contractor
- Ability to maintain cleanliness, conduct routine/special cleaning, and manage sanitation supplies/tools
- Respect for individual differences, team building, mentoring, and promoting integrity/ethics
- Customer-focused mindset with ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to change, and communicate effectively
Responsibilities
- Monitor Sanitation SSOP, CIP systems, and Pest Control programs in collaboration with Sanitation Manager to ensure compliance
- Assist with internal audits, pathogen swabbing, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and food safety issues
- Conduct and document assigned sanitation activities to maintain facility and equipment
- Maintain and receive sanitation supplies, tools, and utensils
- Perform routine maintenance, preventive cleaning, and special cause cleaning activities
- Maintain facilities per government food safety/quality standards via validation testing and product evaluations
- Provide input to Sanitation Manager and Chemical Contractor on optimal chemical options
- Collaborate with FSQA team for Safe Quality Food Code compliance and follow FSMA/other regulations
- Adhere to all safety procedures/guidelines, report hazards/accidents, participate in trainings/drills, and maintain work area cleanliness
- Comply with company policies/ethics, use Open Door Policy, complete assignments using data/resources, collaborate with partners, identify improvements, and adapt to change
