Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or PhD in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of experience in an analytics-related field. They should possess a deep understanding of neural networks, attention architectures, and other deep learning and machine learning concepts, including familiarity with statistical models like linear and generalized linear models, experiment design, and testing. Proven experience in solving business problems using deep learning and machine learning methods, as well as experience with optimization problems, is required. Strong software development skills in Python, SQL, R, Scala, or Java, and experience with deployment and production processes are also necessary.

Responsibilities

As a Principal Data Scientist, the candidate will lead a high-caliber team to build large-scale time series forecasting systems, integrate global forecasting models like Temporal Fusion Transformers and Nbeats to enhance forecasting precision, and generate synthetic time series data for improved model training. They will develop data science systems and tools for retail and e-commerce applications, leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to summarize data and build chat applications, train large neural networks, and deploy them as automated batch pipelines using Airflow. The role involves establishing cross-functional relationships, collaborating with product stakeholders and business owners to formulate and produce solutions, and working with engineering and product teams.
