Candidates should possess at least 10 years of experience in Machine Learning engineering or architecture, with deep expertise in ML architecture, MLOps, feature stores, data pipelines, inference, and monitoring infrastructure using AWS managed services. They must have extensive experience building large-scale, compliant ML architectures within the financial services or a similarly regulated industry, and a proven track record of using product-oriented, user experience-centered approaches to build ML platforms and services. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with a proactive and strategic mindset and a strong bias toward action. A BS degree is preferred.
The Principal Engineer will lead the technical vision and development of ML infrastructure to support end-to-end ML model development and delivery. This includes creating infrastructure for prototyping, data and feature pipelines, model training, deployment, and monitoring on AWS. Responsibilities also involve collaborating with ML Science, Product, and Engineering teams to define technical designs, integrate with core products, and deliver highly available ML capabilities. The role requires maintaining high operational excellence, driving best practices, operating ML capabilities within SLAs, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement governance, security, and management best practices. Additionally, the engineer will provide career mentorship and guidance to the Data+ML organization.
