Requirements
- Compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations
- Knowledge of HIPAA, SOP, QA policies, standards, and procedures
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and explain financial data and information
- Sound financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and managing assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses
- Understanding of Company financial policies and procedures
- Ability to ensure adherence to policies for advising on, verifying, and dispensing products, customer insurance, and licensure issues
- Knowledge of local, State, and Federal guidelines for confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, administering immunizations, and administering Walmart programs
- Drive sales and profit in Pharmacy and OTC areas through effective merchandise presentation, pricing, signing, instock, inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting, cross-functional relationships, and assessing economic trends/demographics
- Model, enforce, and provide direction on proper customer service approaches to resolve customer needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines
- Oversee implementation of and participate in community outreach programs; encourage Associates to serve as good community members
- Ensure compliance with Company and legal policies by analyzing reports, implementing loss prevention/safety controls, overseeing reviews, developing action plans, and directing programs/initiatives
- Provide supervision and development for Associates through selecting, training, mentoring, assigning duties, performance feedback, recognition, and promoting belonging
- Ensure confidentiality of information, documentation, and records per Company and legal guidelines
- Manage Pharmacy Operations: conduct Associate meetings, align operations with Company/regulatory standards, ensure adherence to policies/procedures, document and share changes/ideas
- Oversee Inventory Flow: monitor processes, identify merchandise to order, evaluate facility for inventory issues
- Manage Finances: interpret/analyze financial data, manage budgets, ensure alignment with business needs, comply with financial policies, monitor trends
- Create a culture of patient care, safety, and accuracy; communicate expectations, hold accountable for SOPs, ensure counseling/documentation on new therapies/items, analyze/improve team knowledge on safety/risk reduction
