  • Driving sales and profit through merchandise presentation, pricing, signing, stock/inventory, budgeting, forecasting
  • Assessing economic trends, community needs, reviewing financial reports (P&L, OPIS)
  • Managing product/labor ordering and scheduling based on analysis
  • Managing club Fresh performance (sales, production, planning, food safety), identifying gaps, closing performance gaps
  • Compliance with FDA, OSHA requirements
  • Assisting third-party technical team with training
  • Implementing/monitoring process improvements for financial goals
  • Enforcing Sam's Club Fresh standards (finished product, packaging, in-stock, sanitation)
  • Evaluating/improving club standards and holding associates accountable

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, ethics, and integrity
  • Create budgets for sales, expenses, wages; monitor club indexing and staffing levels
  • Work as part of the management team on opening/closing procedures, communications, merchandising, scheduling, associate issues, escalations, resources, special instructions
  • Plan production, labor, execution for major events; review/modify production plans and schedules based on factors impacting member traffic; adjust based on business results
  • Oversee and enforce food safety standards, cold chain compliance, food merchandise quality; evaluate temperature, storage, sanitation, date coding, rotation, recalls; train associates
  • Drive sales and profit in Fresh areas through effective presentation, pricing, signing, stock/inventory, budgeting, forecasting, trend assessment, financial report reviews, performance management, ordering/scheduling
  • Manage club Fresh areas performance; review sales/production/planning/food safety; identify/close gaps; manage processes/compliance; assist training; implement/monitor improvements; adjust processes
  • Manage and enforce Sam's Club Fresh standards; evaluate product/packaging/in-stock; remove substandard products; train/hold associates accountable to sanitation/department standards; ensure food safety/sanitation compliance; evaluate/improve club standards
