Prior experience in field work such as construction, security systems, or low voltage wiring is a plus, as is prior knowledge of operating a bucket truck. The role requires comfort driving a work van or pickup truck, using power tools, motor vehicles, and heavy equipment, and working on ladders at high heights. Handyman-like experience, good time-management, organization, and communication skills are necessary. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and possess a general aptitude for technology and new software.
Technicians will install poles by digging holes, mount solar panels and external batteries, and affix cameras with PTZ technology. They will work on equipment at various heights, often using a bucket truck or ladder, and repair minor breaks in irrigation or wiring. Responsibilities include taking installation pictures via a mobile app, managing inventory, receiving product shipments, and performing work in a safe and professional manner. Technicians will also meet with customers to discuss installation options, conduct site surveys, and interpret traffic control plans to determine proper device locations.
