Candidates must be at least 21 years of age to rent a vehicle and possess general knowledge of technology with the ability to learn new software and tools. Basic computer skills including Office Suite, Google Suite, and email are necessary. Prior experience in field work such as construction, security systems, or low voltage wiring is a plus, as is prior knowledge of operating a bucket truck. Comfortability driving a work van or pickup truck and occasionally towing a trailer is required, along with prior use of power tools, motor vehicles, and heavy equipment. The role demands comfort working on ladders at high heights and handyman-like experience. Good time-management, organization, and communication skills are essential, as is a desire to work outdoors in all weather conditions. The position requires frequent bending, digging, reaching, climbing, squatting, sitting, standing, walking, driving, and independently lifting up to 50 lbs.
Install poles of varying lengths, including digging holes and mounting solar panels and external batteries. Affix license-plate reading cameras with PTZ technology to poles, working at heights up to 30 feet using bucket trucks or ladders. Repair minor breaks in underground irrigation or private wiring and provide installation pictures via the Flock field app. Perform administrative tasks like inventory management and receiving product shipments, ensuring all work is done safely and professionally. Meet with customers to discuss installation options and conduct site surveys. Interpret traffic control plans and permit drawings to identify proper installation locations for Flock devices.
