Candidates must have proven experience working with MSI, including debugging MSI logs and a good understanding of MSI database tables and different types of MSI updates. Experience with rollback custom actions and scripts, writing and debugging custom actions, and MSI registration is required. Proven experience delivering high quality, high performance C++ code and experience with the WiX Toolset/Burn Engine and/or InstallShield are necessary. Familiarity with writing and debugging Python code, and a proven history of owning a product or process and driving improvements are also required. Bonus points for experience debugging SetupApi dev logs, a proven understanding of Windows internals, and proven experience designing large-scale OOD systems.
