Responsibilities
Design and deliver technical training for transmission line worker apprenticeships
Oversee the design, development, implementation, and delivery of high impact, cost-effective technical education
Incorporate human performance concepts, safety, policies, procedures, and common work practices into learning and training
Direct the development, communication, and implementation of a learning strategy by conducting learning/training needs assessments
Forecast, plan, and analyze learning and training needs based on demographics and staffing changes
Consult with management and employees on learning and training priorities
Oversee the scheduling and coordination of technical training and communicate training calendar, courses, and opportunities
Lead the teaching, instructing, facilitation, and evaluation of learning activities, including rules, knowledge, job skills, demonstrations, and proctoring tests/assessments
Coordinate the design and development of technical curriculums, courses, and resources (e.g., instructor-led/online content, presentations, manuals, job aids, games, job task analysis, performance measures, hands-on demonstrations, assessments)
Guide research and selection of training resources/tools; negotiate and coordinate with vendors and OEMs
Maintain collaborative relationships with management, employees, internal/external partners, and vendors
Oversee administration and maintenance of training records/qualifications, reports, budgets, measurements, and cost/value analyses using the AEP learning management system in compliance with policies and regulations
Facilitate training projects, committees, and meetings as assigned
