Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of business operations, safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery service standards, equipment operations, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems), tire recalls, product specifications, and seasonality
  • Expertise in leveraging digital tools, handheld technology, and new products/technologies for sales, service, and decision-making
  • Ability to supervise, train, and develop a team of hourly associates
  • Proficiency in operational tasks including inventory management, staffing, scheduling, cash register operations, transaction processing, and paperwork/documentation
  • Skills in proactive planning, expense controls, tracking returns/special orders, and maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work area
  • Capability to communicate goals, set guidelines/expectations, execute company programs, and adhere to policies
  • Experience with training resources, e-learnings, and attending conferences for continuous improvement
  • Ability to collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners; analyze information; monitor progress; and identify improvements

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Tire and Battery Center team to deliver on the business plan and contribute to club success
  • Communicate department goals, set guidelines/expectations, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for members, associates, and the company
  • Maintain and share expertise in tire/battery services, safety, compliance, equipment, TPMS, recalls, products, and seasonality to ensure consistent team performance
  • Train the team on new products/technologies, provide necessary resources, and leverage learning for continuous improvement
  • Utilize digital/handheld tools to plan sales, improve service experience, elevate associate engagement, and make immediate business decisions
  • Drive business results, ensure operational excellence, maintain a neat/clean/safe work area, and order equipment/tools/supplies while controlling expenses
  • Track/monitor returns/special orders, assist in staffing/scheduling, operate cash registers, process transactions, and work hands-on to support member service
  • Maintain accurate inventory, audit safety/compliance standards, and complete required documentation
  • Train/teach team for effectiveness, monitor e-learnings/trainings, identify/develop talent, encourage career growth, and source new talent
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes/practices to meet business needs through collaboration, analysis, monitoring, and improvement
  • Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity; guide application in processes; implement action plans; and assist with corrections
  • Lead/participate in teams by sharing resources, determining needs/priorities, coordinating assignments, providing feedback/support, ensuring timelines/quality, and modeling adaptation to change
