Requirements

  • Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph
  • 16 years of experience (combination of work history and education: Doctorate + 8 years, Master’s + 10 years, Bachelor’s + 12 years, Associate’s + 14 years, or HS diploma + 16 years)
  • Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 Information Assurance
  • Office presence a minimum of 5 days per week at customer's site (no relocation offered)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall health and wellness of all site personnel
  • Guides, trains, and manages lower-level management and supervisors
  • Oversees daily operations, manages budgets, and sets performance objectives
  • Recruits, trains, and supports senior leadership as well as conducting regular performance evaluations
  • Manages internal and external stakeholder relations and negotiating contracts
  • Plans, evaluates, and optimizes operations to be efficient and cost-effective
  • Ensures that products and services comply with regulatory and quality standards, and that internal standards and procedures are followed
  • Prepares and presents monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for all operations and maintenance activities
  • Resolves escalated customer issues and incident reports
  • Coordinates network operations, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
  • Determines specific network hardware or software requirements, such as platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routine schemas
  • Attend site specific meetings with customers and/or senior leadership
  • Develops and implements solutions for network problems
  • Develops and implements business plans to meet organizational objectives
  • Develops and implements conceptual, logical, or physical network designs, ensuring requirements are met
  • Develops and implements procedures to track and report network availability, reliability, capacity, or utilization
  • Develops and implements network security measures, such as firewall installation, configuration, and implementation
  • Estimates time and materials needed to complete projects
  • Monitors network performance and data input/output reports to detect problems, identify inefficient use of computer resources, or perform capacity planning
  • Participates in network technology upgrade or expansion projects
  • Researches and tests new or modified hardware or software products to determine performance and interoperability
  • Liaisons with vendors to address system issues, gather information about products, and discuss future needs
  • Coordinates the installation of new equipment
  • Designs, organizes, and delivers product awareness, skills transfer, and product education sessions for staff and suppliers
  • Explains design specifications to integration and/or test engineers
  • Develops plans or budgets for network equipment replacement
  • Prepares design presentations and proposals for staff or customers
