Requirements

  • University degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field (e.g., biology, chemistry, medicine, pharmacy, biomedical engineering, or similar)
  • Proven experience in sales, ideally in the cardiology market
  • Familiarity with the Swiss Medical Devices Ordinance (MedDO) and EU MDR (2017/745) is a plus
  • Confident in engaging with clinical stakeholders, cardiologists, and referrers and can translate complex scientific information into compelling value propositions
  • Strong customer orientation, excellent communication skills, and creativity in developing tailored solutions for clients
  • Highly self-motivated, flexible, and willing to travel extensively (minimum of 75% with overnight stays)
  • Team player with a friendly and adaptable personality
  • Ownership, initiative, and commitment to delivering above-average results
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Fluent in German and English; French is a plus
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Switzerland

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and optimize activities in implanting centers and referral sites to present Abbott as the ideal long-term partner in heart failure and develop inpatient and outpatient heart failure referral programs
  • Autonomously achieve regional sales and strategy targets
  • Identify and generate sales opportunities through inbound and outbound calling activities
  • Regularly assess heart failure business and market development opportunities to drive sales and provide field support in implementing specific heart failure marketing and sales initiatives
  • Act independently in the region for sales planning of Abbott products in advanced heart failure and expand referral networks
  • Take full revenue responsibility for the assigned region
  • Serve as the point of contact for clinical users, administration, purchasing, and medical departments in supported hospitals
  • Create account plans, manage customer relationships, and acquire new customers, including strategic analysis of hospitals and implementation of comprehensive concepts
  • Plan the marketing budget for the region and ensure compliance
  • Prepare regular updates and forecasts for the region
  • Participate in national and international cardiovascular and cardiac surgery congresses to strengthen customer relationships and coordinate activities with the team
  • Organize and conduct local scientific events with implantation centers
  • Conduct quarterly and annual meetings with all customers regarding business relationship development
