Requirements

  • Field-based role requiring 100% time spent with external customers (HCPs, RTLs, community-based physicians, private practices, medical groups, office staff, hospital stakeholders, and others in the patient care continuum)
  • High level of scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas (Cardiology & Neurology)
  • Ability to engage in deeper scientific dialogue consistent with product label using approved scientific resources and publications
  • Strong professional credibility-building skills with regional thought leaders (RTLs) and community-based HCPs
  • Proficiency in using tools for insights, dynamic call planning, territory/account planning, and continuous improvement feedback
  • Knowledge of compliant promotion practices to prioritize safe and appropriate use of BMS products
  • Capability to manage hospital stakeholders for funding availability and stock to meet patient demand
  • Alignment with BMS values, focusing on business results, performance objectives, and differentiated Customer Experience (Cx)

Responsibilities

  • Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory/region to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner
  • Create demand for BMS medicines by articulating clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients
  • Engage with and maintain/grow scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans
  • Proactively use tools to derive insights, inform call plans, and provide feedback for continuous improvement
  • Create and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and drive business growth
  • Identify new business opportunities within accounts and increase brand share
  • Drive territory and account management effectively
  • Follow through on created demand with acquisition personnel in hospitals
  • Manage hospital stakeholders to ensure funding availability and sufficient stock for patient demand
  • Demonstrate scientific expertise in fair and balanced scientific dialogue using approved resources
  • Conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discuss product-related scientific information consistent with label
  • Organize external speaker programs, selecting from approved Speakers Bureau list and facilitating schedules
  • Liaise with other BMS functions to deliver higher Customer Experience by meeting HCP needs timely and scientifically
  • Exemplify BMS values while focusing on safe/appropriate product use, business results, and performance objectives
