Test Floor Engineer

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology, or a similar field. They should have a good acknowledgement of software development skills in languages such as National Instruments LabView, NI LabWindows CVI, NI TestStand, C++, or C. Knowledge of automotive communication protocols like CAN, LIN, LVDS, Flex-Ray, and BroadReach, along with familiarity with memory device flashing concepts, is preferred. Strong problem-solving capabilities and an energetic, self-motivated, and proactive work style are also required.
As a Test Engineer, you will collaborate with the manufacturing development team on test software, hardware, and application-specific tooling for assigned product programs. You will work with Quality, Operations, and Maintenance teams to improve test process cycle time, escapes, and capability. You will determine suitable standard test equipment and configurations, utilize Statistical Analysis Methods (6-Sigma, MSA, Cpk,…) to optimize parametric electrical test performance, and document the assigned test process while adhering to APTIV’s processes and procedures. Continuous improvement of deployed test systems (hardware and software) on production is also a key responsibility.
