Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing
  • Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team based selling model
  • Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies to help customers succeed
  • Drive sales success by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business through impactful sales presentations and tailoring sales approach to individual customers
  • Manage time and territory effectively
  • Work collaboratively with Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening; collaborate with marketing, supply chain and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery
  • Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences
  • Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot problems during the order process (e.g., delivery mis picks, short on loads, stock-outs)
  • Know market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as value-added services
  • Drive personal motor vehicle to conduct regular check ins, site visits and follow ups to ensure customer satisfaction
