Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Three years or more of related experience and/or training in a production/manufacturing environment preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Effective English communication skills required; bilingual preferred
  • Basic computer skills required; experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations preferred
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, rotating/varying shifts, and be available for emergency call-out
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 12-hour shift
  • Ability to climb on a ladder or scaffolding to heights in excess of 10’, balance, and work above the shoulders frequently
  • Ability to work in various temperatures (warm, hot, cold, freezing)
  • Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to safely complete work assignments
  • Capable of acquiring basic knowledge of all packaging equipment

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative/predictive maintenance, repairs, and improvements on industrial equipment
  • Ensure high regard for employee safety, food quality, and machine efficiency
  • Responsible for proper setup and safe operation of equipment
  • Perform start-up/shutdown procedures, cleaning, troubleshooting, and calibration on a regular basis
  • Perform and log uptime/downtime inspections, lubrications, and preventative maintenance work
  • Create Work Order requests using Oracle for needed equipment repairs
  • Execute company and mission goals while prioritizing employee and food safety
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and perform corrective work on all packaging equipment
  • Coach and mentor Machine Attendants and Operators
  • Work closely with reliability team to identify machine issues/root causes and propose solutions
  • Engage in identifying safety and food safety hazards (e.g., GMP audits, weekly Critical Behavior Observations, sanitation checks)
  • Hand off work area to next shift in expected condition
  • Assist in continuous improvement efforts in Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Cost, and Productivity
  • Operate packaging machine or act as breaker when required
  • Create/validate equipment programs for all pack SKUs
  • Listen and follow oral directions to carry out assigned tasks
  • Perform other assigned duties that meet business needs
  • Work offseason as business requires
  • Follow Wonderful Citrus safety policy
  • Act as first responder to all equipment downtime and track DIN Call information
