Position Overview
Study.com is seeking experienced Course Development Specialists to enhance and update credit-recommended college courses. This project aims to ensure courses meet current academic standards and industry requirements. This is an online, remote contract role with payment per piece.
Project Description
As a Course Development Specialist, you will review and revise existing college-level course learning outcomes in your subject area. Tasks may include:
- Updating overall course objectives and defining relevant competencies.
- Creating or revising skill-oriented course sections.
- Implementing clear and measurable learning outcomes aligned to course sections.
- Creating or revising response assignment prompts and rubrics.
- Evaluating existing multiple-choice questions or writing new ones.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Technical Writing.
- Experience teaching courses in a college or university setting.
- Experience creating, updating, or revising courses at a college or university level.
Preferred Skills
- Strong time management skills to meet due dates.
- Receptiveness to feedback and willingness to revise submitted work.
- Ability to collaborate with curriculum designers to create high-quality course deliverables.
