BS in a physical science or engineering field (Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Packaging, or mechanical/chemical/metallurgical/materials science engineering)
2 or more years experience in industrial or academic laboratory
2 or more years experience in food or personal care products manufacturing
2 or more years experience in food, beverage, or consumer products manufacturing
Steel, coatings, or corrosion testing/engineering experience
Strong communication skills
Microsoft Office suite applications
Data analysis and statistical analysis capabilities

Responsibilities

Follows all company and customer safety protocols and maintains a safe working environment
Travels to customer locations on a regular basis
Provides technical/regulatory knowledge for certifications of steel cans and ends
Starts customer complaint investigations by gathering samples, traceability information, and other required data
Works with customers to quarantine suspect product while minimizing disruptions
Leads or assists in sorting or containment activities at customer locations
Provides training to customers on steel food cans, ends, and double seam evaluation
Prepares specification documents and other customer communications
Performs statistical analysis of manufacturing data
Communicates technical details clearly and concisely in a customer-understandable manner
Uses strong interpersonal skills to develop internal and external relationships
Provides plant and technical project support as required
