Requirements

  • 5+ years of chemical sales experience, preferably with defoaming chemistries, wastewater treatment, or other technical applications
  • College education preferred; technical or engineering degree preferred
  • Strong territory management skills
  • Ability to work with moderate supervision
  • Ability to construct a business plan with Sales Manager assistance
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle driving record
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and job-specific software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and surrounding states (overnight travel required)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a defined sales territory, focusing on business development and sales growth for foam control (antifoam and defoaming) products
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans in collaboration with sales management to achieve annual revenue, margin, and customer retention goals
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new accounts and expanded business with existing customers
  • Provide technical support and application assistance to customers and prospects, delivering hands-on service and solutions
  • Structure programs for customers that leverage Hydrite’s manufacturing, distribution, and financial strengths
  • Track and analyze sales history, prepare quarterly summaries, and forecast annual quantities for all customers in the territory
  • Prepare timely chemical treatment proposals, service reports, call reports, and technical service requests
  • Manage Salesforce CRM data for current and prospective customers, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including purchasing and operations, to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain optimal product supply
  • Respond to competitive threats, negotiate pricing, and implement margin improvement strategies
  • Travel extensively throughout the Southeast region to service accounts and develop new business (overnight travel required)
