This role is for a (Robotics) Technical Project Manager (TPM) responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within the robotics development lifecycle. The TPM will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations, to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to high-quality standards. This position requires technical expertise, strategic program management skills, and the ability to drive efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

The TPM will interact directly with AeroVect's autonomous airside vehicles and onsite engineering and operations teams. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring onsite engineering teams operate at maximum effectiveness and efficiency, considering internal and external customer needs.
  2. Developing engineering development plans with deliverables, milestones, and resource requirements for the engineering's global operation.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with and experience the system in real-world operation, contributing to the development of a market-defining enterprise product that combines autonomous vehicle technology with a robotics-as-a-service (RaaS) business model. The TPM will work closely with the VP of Engineering, Engineering Leads, and Operations Leads.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of technical projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and milestones.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to define project scope, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
  • Implement and manage critical prioritization frameworks to allocate resources effectively and ensure high-impact outcomes.
  • Utilize project management tools like Jira, Asana, or equivalent to track progress, manage tasks, and report on project status.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, risks, or roadblocks that could impact project success.
  • Develop and document standardized processes to improve team efficiency and project outcomes.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends in robotics and program management methodologies to bring best practices to the team.

Requirements

  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
    • 3+ years of experience in project or program management within a technical or engineering environment.
    • Proven expertise in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and deliverables.
    • Proficiency with project management tools like Jira, Asana, or similar platforms.
    • Strong understanding of critical prioritization frameworks and methodologies.
    • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
    • Basic data analytics skills for effort estimation, KPI definitions, etc.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Must be able to pass federal background checks and receive and maintain issuance of an airport security clearance.
