Familiarity with open-source automation tools like Ansible or AWX is required, along with the ability to perform and plan major version upgrades of software and hardware while adhering to change control best practices. Applicants must have 5+ years of relevant work experience and demonstrate leadership skills through performance evaluation of team members, setting SMART objectives, and prioritizing among competing business initiatives.
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for driving, coordinating, supervising, and facilitating the work processes of Site Reliability engineering teams, actively leading or delegating solution creation, effort estimation, development, and project implementation. You will create, maintain, improve, and provide needed resources to enable team members to do their work, ensuring efficient inter-team communication and disseminating information coming from outside the group. Adherence to Garmin Engineering SOPs and Processes is essential, and you will demonstrate a broad understanding of Garmin’s business model, including operations, production, sales, and marketing. Furthermore, you will provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem-solving techniques and support application server capacity planning, backups, and other server-based activities.
