Requirements

Candidates must possess fluency in both English and Spanish, hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, and be a CPA or CA. A minimum of 5 years of corporate tax experience, preferably in public accounting or a multinational corporation within the B2B SaaS or startup sector, is required. Experience with indirect tax compliance software like Avalara and ERP software such as Netsuite is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Tax Manager will oversee LATAM tax compliance and reporting, managing external service providers for income, VAT, and other tax filings. Responsibilities include reviewing tax provisions in customer agreements, supporting local statutory audits, managing relationships with tax and accounting providers, and communicating with tax authorities. The role also involves supporting month-end close activities, including checklist completion, balance sheet reconciliations, flux explanations, and journal entry preparation. Additionally, the Tax Manager will assist the Billing Operations team with determining correct taxes on customer invoices, responding to customer tax inquiries, and supporting account managers with tax-efficient billing arrangements. They will also support the Director, Tax & Treasury with optimizing non-US cash and liquidity, and assist the Payroll team with ad-hoc payroll tax matters.
