SysOps Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time Location Type: On-Site Salary: $110,000 - $165,000 USD (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview

Candid Health is seeking its first dedicated SysOps Engineer to join our TechOps Team. This role is crucial for enabling our engineering and operations teams to address complex challenges within the US healthcare system while maintaining a best-in-class security posture. You will be responsible for owning the technical ecosystem that supports Candid Health’s strategic objectives and powers all our operations. The ideal candidate is technically adept across a broad range of tools and devices, possesses a keen eye for detail, and is driven by process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding & Offboarding: Own and automate the end-to-end operational lifecycles for employee onboarding and offboarding, including account and device management and procurement.
• Endpoint Security: Set up and maintain secure endpoint configurations for workstations and mobile devices using MDM, EDR, and complementary software like Munki and Santa.
• Application Management: Be responsible for the secure implementation, management, and internal support of critical business applications, including Single Sign-On (SSO).
• Process Architecture: Architect and implement scalable processes for all aspects of Candid Health’s Technical Operations function.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders, including Engineering, People Operations, and Facility Operations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on Technical Operations or Information Technology experience in either a startup or scaled environment, with a strong emphasis on security and compliance.
• Hands-on experience managing tools within our stack: Slack, 1Password, Google Workspace, Rippling. Familiarity with parallel technologies is also welcomed.
• Strong collaborative skills and motivation to deliver products and processes that enhance the work of others.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date on the latest in corporate technology and processes.
• A security-first mindset, ensuring all processes and tools protect sensitive customer and patient data.

Company Culture & Compensation

Candid Health values its in-person culture and requires employees to join at one of our offices (Denver, New York, or San Francisco). The weekly schedule is 4 days in-office and 1 day remote.

Total compensation may include base salary, equity, sales incentives (for sales roles), and employee benefits. Given Candid Health’s funding and size, we heavily value the potential upside from equity in our compensation package. We have minimal hierarchy and titles, but represent broad ranges of experience within roles.
