Requirements

  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Major in Human Resources, Digital Communications, Marketing, or Design preferred
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Aptitude for collecting data points and reasoning to find commonalities and outliers
  • Strong presence and project management skills, with ability to balance multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • Experience writing for digital channels (e.g., blog, professional social media, website) preferred
  • Web or Graphic Design background preferred
  • Experience designing and managing a blog or website using a content management system (e.g., WordPress, SharePoint) preferred
  • Good analytical, communication, and human relations skills
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills preferred, especially in MS Excel (data, chart creation)
  • Previous internship or co-op experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations of Ameren’s Sustainability, Community and Inclusion (SCI) team
  • Divide time approximately 1/3 with each department (Sustainability, Community, Inclusion) per week or on a rotational basis
  • Conduct Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) benchmarking/research
  • Provide ESG voluntary reporting support
  • Support Energy Affordability initiatives
  • Upgrade and maintain inclusive engagement team webpage and SharePoint site
  • Assist with implementing inclusive engagement employee and community outreach efforts
  • Collaborate on equity projects
  • Collect and distill post-grant and post-sponsorship data
  • Collate information to inform graphs, editorial, and stronger nonprofit partner relationships
  • Support corporate campaigns like United Way or other co-worker-involved fundraising activities
  • Work on-site at Ameren HQ, interface with external stakeholders and co-workers onsite, over TEAMS virtually, and in possible off-site meetings
