Requirements

  • B.S. in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in sustainability, climate resilience, or environmental management, with a track record of leading successful projects
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Preferred: 8+ years of experience in sustainability, climate resilience, or environmental management
  • Preferred: Expertise working with or within environmental regulatory agencies
  • Preferred: Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
  • Preferred: Expertise in developing and managing sustainability projects
  • Preferred: Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and mentoring teams
  • Preferred: Familiarity with data analysis tools and sustainability reporting software
  • Preferred: Experience in the preparation of project specifications and bid documents
  • Desired: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Assess client operations to identify sustainability opportunities
  • Develop and recommend tailored sustainability strategies
  • Create actionable plans to reduce environmental impact and improve resource efficiency
  • Conduct environmental audits and assessments
  • Analyze data to identify key areas of improvement in energy use, waste management, and resource conservation
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining environmental impact and sustainability performance
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their sustainability goals and challenges
  • Provide expert advice on sustainability best practices
  • Lead sustainability projects from inception to completion
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project goals are met
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes
  • Ensure client compliance with environmental regulations and standards
  • Prepare sustainability reports and documentation for regulatory submissions
  • Track and report on the progress of sustainability initiatives
  • Stay updated on the latest sustainability trends and technologies
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance sustainability practices
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce environmental impact
  • Work cross-functionally to embed sustainable practices into client operations, supply chains, infrastructure, and corporate governance
