Candidates should possess a High School diploma required, with an associate degree or higher preferred. Experience utilizing Total Station, GPS, 3D scanner, and CAD software is preferred, but not required. Must be able to perform associated work duties at on-site locations that may be out of town, including the ability to push/pull, lift approximately 20-50 lbs., and climb stairs and vertical ladders. Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time, and must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
The Survey Technician will collect data in the field for a broad range of projects and assist in the office with calculations, post-processing, and drafting. This position will involve conducting necessary field work based on project details, documenting field work results, participating in project discussions, assisting with post-processing of field data, producing drawings or modifying existing drawings, reviewing survey data for quality and completeness, and utilizing AutoCAD and other design software while adhering to Valdes and client CAD standards. They will also complete assigned work within budget and schedule, follow quality procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
