Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent satisfying 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A)) and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
  • Broad knowledge of project management

Responsibilities

  • Formulates and reviews corporate short and long-range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product or product line
  • Conducts competitive product analysis and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience
  • Determines the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements
  • Develops production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity
  • Works closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle
  • Works with other functions to finalize product specifications
  • Provides advertising with core brand equity
  • Serves as technical adviser, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issues
  • Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results
  • Acts as a mentor to colleagues or directs the work of other lower level professionals
  • Manages large projects or processes, exercises considerable latitude in determining deliverables with limited oversight
  • Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to lower level specialists
  • Contributes to defining the direction for new products, processes, standards, or operational plans based on business strategy
  • Develops solutions to moderately complex problems and/or makes moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems, or products independently
  • Represents organization as a primary contact for specific projects and initiatives; communicates with internal and external customers and vendors
  • Negotiates with others to reach understanding or agreement, and influences decision-making
  • Provides guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area
