  • Proven record of accomplishment in medical/surgical/ophthalmology sales with top-quartile technical ability, organization, and communication
  • High commercial acumen with exemplary technical knowledge
  • Selling, relationship building, and people-engagement skills
  • Ability to learn and converse in technically demanding medical and scientific knowledge
  • Ability to thrive in a surgical environment
  • Integrity in all business dealings, both internally and externally

  • Internal (colleague) and external (customer) communication skills
  • B.A. or B.S.C. ideal but not essential
  • Willingness to travel extensively (including staying away from home when required)
  • Full UK driver’s license
  • Full Right to Work in the UK
  • Surgical/medical devices experience and/or ophthalmic sales experience (ideally in glaucoma or cataract surgery) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Become a certified Hydrus Trainer
  • Contribute to sales targets in allocated territory
  • Comply with all legal requirements relating to role and business practice
  • Possess and maintain thorough industry product knowledge
  • Plan and manage territory
  • Generate and develop new business to meet specified goals
  • Increase Hydrus user base across territory
  • Maintain and nurture existing customer relationships
  • Understand and communicate information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing customers
  • Train surgeons on the Hydrus Microstent surgical implantation procedure in the highest quality manner
  • Collaborate with surgeons to facilitate product approval, contributing to increased sales and commercial objectives in the allocated territory
