Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a specific project in the areas of commodity management, supplier quality, or supply chain analytics
  • Participate in RFQ process, supplier evaluation process, selection process, negotiation process, working supplier issues, and supplier maintenance
  • Comply with purchasing policies/procedures, as well as legal/ethical obligations
  • Assist in documenting and creating processes and standard work in the supply chain/sourcing functions
  • Support commodity manager(s) in their daily work
  • Assist in negotiation preparation
  • Identify and implement cost savings opportunities through spend analysis, supplier negotiations, business resourcing, value added and value engineering opportunities, and other purchasing methods
  • Support manufacturing operations and quality department with supplier issue resolution
  • Administrate Blanket Orders, Purchase Orders and Vendor Master Information in the ERP system
  • Analyze complex data, identify and execute savings opportunities, implement sourcing strategies, and quickly execute tasks to realize benefits
  • Complete an agreed upon project (related to Supply Chain), culminating in a formal report out to sr. leadership
