Responsibilities

  • Perform supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution
  • Create integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing, and logistics) and outside suppliers
  • Plan and analyze activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning, and quality control of production materials
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions
  • Support warranty claim orders and part supply operations, ensuring efficient and effective supply chain processes
  • Deliver and/or manage assigned projects from design to implementation, adhering to policies
  • Work with stakeholders to achieve desired results; may act as a mentor to colleagues or direct work of lower-level professionals
  • Set objectives for own job area to meet project and assignment goals; contribute to project milestones
  • Make adjustments or recommend enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness
  • Communicate with internal contacts to share information, status, needs, and issues to inform, gain input, and support decision-making
