Requirements

Candidates must possess over 5 years of experience in a supplier-facing quality engineering role, preferably within mechanical hardware or components. A strong ability to influence suppliers through a balance of relationship-building and accountability is essential. Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, and structured quality processes is required, along with being process-minded, results-driven, and confident in making decisions with limited data. Strong communication skills and experience working remotely and on-site are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Supplier Quality Engineer will evaluate new suppliers, develop current partners using maturity models and scorecards, and help implement effective control plans. This role involves leading root cause investigations and coaching partners through corrective actions. The engineer will also work cross-functionally to improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and demonstrate its value to customers. Additionally, the position requires regular travel to visit suppliers across the U.S. and support remote audits when offsite.
