Requirements

  • High School diploma (minimum required); Associate’s degree (preferred)
  • Two (2) years of related experience (required); Two (2) or more years of related experience (preferred)
  • Basic decision making and problem solving skills

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for the duration of shift
  • Ability to frequently reach at waist and occasionally above head

Responsibilities

  • Assign work assignments based on daily department needs, ensure quality products are produced, and achieve department metrics
  • Conduct people leader activities including approving time off, conducting performance appraisals, coaching, disciplinary action, and maintaining company policies and procedures
  • Communicate daily schedules, goals, quality issues/concerns in written and oral form to employees, other shifts, and support staff including supervisors and managers to ensure customer expectations are met
  • Ensure individuals are trained to appropriate assembly build instructions and compliant with all applicable training requirements; flex personnel based on training and skill sets to meet customer schedules
  • Provide immediate supervision to a unit or group of two or more employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, maintaining schedules, completing performance appraisal recommendations, and recommending job classifications
  • Support and lead improvement initiatives, actively participate to improve work environment including safety, cleanliness, product quality, and efficiency; generate new and innovative solutions to complex problems
