Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on experience in high-voltage transmission line stringing works, with preference for experience on 330kV and above transmission lines. Fluency in English is required, and familiarity with stringing techniques, tensioning methods, and safety procedures is essential. A Working at Height certification is mandatory, and certifications in rigging, lifting, or power transmission are considered advantageous. Relevant City & Guild or equivalent certifications are extremely desirable.

Responsibilities

The High Voltage Power Transmission Line Stringing Specialist will perform preparation works, paying out, jointing, clipping, tensioning, sagging, clamping, spacering, and jumpering for high-voltage transmission lines, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. They will operate and maintain stringing equipment, such as tensioners, pullers, and winches, and ensure proper installation of insulator string fittings, conductors, OPGW, and earth wires. The specialist will work at heights on lattice towers and monopoles, adhere to safety regulations, coordinate with site supervisors and engineers, troubleshoot technical issues, and work in remote project locations while demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills.
