Requirements

  • Loss Prevention experience is required
  • Excellent reading comprehension skills are required
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to travel locally as needed and scheduled
  • Must be capable of regularly lifting up to 40 lbs. (occasionally 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height
  • Ability to handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting (with or without reasonable accommodation)
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are required
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
  • Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery or drug store environment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and help customers in a warm, approachable manner, maintaining a strong company image within the community
  • Assist the Store Manager in maintaining standards of safety and control, including tagging merchandise, assisting with the check in of DSD vendors, and reporting observations
  • Report any suspicious activity to the Store Manager, document observations of transactions and store activity and any incidents that occur
  • Conduct daily inspections, including audits of shrink reduction initiatives and safety standards
  • Partner with Store Manager to check in deliveries and monitor security systems
  • Monitor Fire and ADA safety requirements, and address EAS alarms while following company procedures
  • Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
  • Protect and secure all company assets
  • Complete bag checks, including in-store returns, as directed
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to increase job knowledge and skills
  • Communicate feedback to the District Manager, Regional Asset Protection Manager, or Market Investigator
