Requirements

  • Experience in fine wine and craft spirits industry
  • Strong understanding of pricing and market pricing opportunities
  • Ability to develop and manage distributor business plans, team reviews, market surveys, and competitive pricing surveys
  • Proficiency in analysis/insights of monthly performance with action plans
  • Skills in budget management, particularly Non Price/LMF
  • Capability to execute new product launches and line extensions
  • Experience with IRI reports (at risk reports, chain scorecards, fair share reports, gap reports)
  • Ability to develop and maintain tracking reports (chain warehouse inventory, planner tracking, ad tracking, new item tracking, authorization listing, chain store lists, ad-hoc reports)
  • Knowledge of on/off premise channel strategy
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills with distributor sales leads and regional teams
  • Coaching and education skills for distributor sales members on brand priorities and standards
  • Administrative skills for financial records, budgets, and providing market feedback

Responsibilities

  • Execute Wine and Craft Spirits objectives with key distributor partners
  • Manage key distributor house relationships, aligning and gaining commitment to achieve CBI plan and financial budgets
  • Drive monthly performance with action plans, build incentives for on/off premise performance, and manage pricing related to brand strategy vs. competitive set
  • In partnership with the Director, develop distributor business plan meetings, periodic team reviews, market surveys, competitive pricing surveys, and sales meetings with distributors and National Accounts team
  • Own distributor channel or geographic plan breakout
  • Build incentives to deliver fiscal plan
  • Accountable for budget management of Non Price/LMF
  • Develop and maintain IRI reports and tracking reports
  • Help manage on/off premise channel strategy, including Prime OP Partners/KPIs, Off Premise Distribution Driver, Creative Display Contests, and National Accounts Planner Execution
  • Participate in key survey periods (Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Winter holidays) and blitz/focus periods, ensuring accountability for fine wine and craft spirits objectives in On Premise
  • Implement sales performance measures and targets using Constellation Brands CORE brand priorities with distributors
  • Strengthen retailer relationships through engagement with category management teams, providing strategic thinking and category leadership expertise
  • Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong collaborative relationships with distributor sales leads and regional teams
  • Leverage relationships to explore business opportunities in assigned territory
  • Work with, coach, and educate distributor sales members on brand priorities and standards
  • Partner with Trade Marketing to understand brand health and needs
  • Provide feedback to Directors on market issues, opportunities, changes, distributor issues, and competitive activity
  • Prepare and maintain all applicable financial records and budgets
