Remote Licensed Therapist (1099 Contractor)
Position Overview
Headspace is seeking part-time, independently licensed contractor therapists to provide direct, virtual care as part of a multidisciplinary team. We are currently accepting applications from providers licensed in Kentucky.
Contractor therapists are asked to offer a minimum of 5 sessions/week, with the flexibility to offer additional sessions when needed. More is always welcome depending on your schedule. Please note that due to care demand and member scheduling fluctuations, it could take a number of weeks to achieve a consistent schedule.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay Rate: Varies by state, starting at $72-$77 per session for Kentucky. Pay rates will be confirmed by a recruiter during the interview process.
- Session length: 60 min for intake, 45 min for follow-up.
- Concurrent note-taking is expected and included in the session rate.
- Session rates vary based on factors including location, licensure, experience, specializations, and demand.
- Availability: Minimum of 5 sessions per week, with the ability to flex up. Night and weekend flexibility is a plus.
Requirements
- Licensure: An independent clinical license to practice in good standing (LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LPCC).
- Residency: Must be licensed and reside in the U.S. (50 states only).
- Work Location: All work must be provided in the U.S. Personal health information may not be accessed, disclosed, or used outside of the U.S.
- Experience:
- 3+ years providing clinical psychotherapy to individuals, couples, or families.
- Experience with risk management and higher acuity cases.
- Clinical Skills:
- Clinical competence in evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, etc.) and measurement-based care.
- Knowledge, ability, and commitment to providing culturally responsive care.
- Technical Skills:
- Tech-savviness is a must.
- Familiarity, comfort, and confidence with care delivery technology (various applications, tech tools, Google web-apps, video conferencing, EMR, etc.).
- Ability and willingness to deliver concurrent documentation.
- Willingness and confidence to integrate cutting-edge technology into all aspects of care.
- A safe, secure location with reliable internet connection to provide Zoom-based psychotherapy.
- Communication: Effective communication skills and ability to work within interdisciplinary teams.
- Administrative:
- Ability and willingness to deliver concurrent documentation.
- Maintain a personalized database to record proof of licensure, license updates, expiration dates, personal information, etc.
- Keep availability calendar up to date.
- Stay in regular communication with clinical leadership, checking work emails in a timely fashion and responding within 24 hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, innovative tele-therapy to Headspace patients over a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform.
- Complete, sign, and lock clinical case notes in EMR within 48 hours of the session. Note completion is part of the session rate.
- Work with a collaborative care team including health coaches, other therapists, psychiatrists, and external care providers.
